The thermostat is the whole point. It's a wound bimetallic strip, the same mechanism used in kettles for sixty years before anyone put a chip in one — it clicks the element off within a degree of the dial setting, every time, with nothing to update.
We publish the full spec sheet because we'd rather you decide with the numbers than a lifestyle photo. If a part fails outside the two-year warranty, every component is sold individually — the element, thermostat, and gasket are the only wear parts.
Three materials. No composites.
18/8 Stainless Steel
The body and base. Brushed, not polished, so fingerprints and pour marks don't show — this is a kettle you use daily, not display.
Sealed Walnut
The handle. Kiln-dried and sealed against steam exposure, mounted on a stainless bracket that keeps it cool enough to hold bare-handed at a full boil.
Copper Dial Ring
The one decorative choice we allowed ourselves — a copper ring around the thermostat dial, the only part of the kettle that isn't structural.
